Okay I was willing to give this game a shot since it got free to play because it was gonna die anyway (last cashgrab) but after seeing login queue 5000 in line and if you pay 10$ you're in I got convinced that developpers truly dont care about the free to play model. The Free to Play version of Albion is now about 8 hours old and we've had quite a ride so far. We've had an incredible turnout, but we've also had some pretty tense moments. We were able to contain an economy-threatening issue with the gold market by taking the servers down for about an hour this afternoon, but we brought them back and we've been able to entertain about 15,000 concurrent players in Albion's World. Unfortunately, this is where we encountered network issues in our datacenter and had to employ a login queue to prevent the gameplay from degrading too much, leaving thousands more players waiting to log in.
We're currently working with our partners to resolve this issue and will continue to do so until its done. We cannot provide an ETA at this time, but we are confident that resolving this issue will allow us to let significantly more players into the game and improve connection quality for everyone.
